应我校邀请,加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学(全球排名30左右)于2018年4月17日来我校做报告,欢迎广大师生参加,具体安排如下:
报告题目:
1.Indoor Visible Light Positioning Technology: Overview, State of the Art, and Recent Progress
2. How to Write anIEEE Style Paper and Get it Published?
报告时间:2018年4月17日(星期二) 14:30-16:30
报告地点:西安邮电大学三号实验楼(通信与信息工程学院) 106会议室
报告摘要:Abstract1
Institute ofElectrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is world’s largestprofessional association which is best known, among other engineeringdisciplines, for its high quality flagship journal and conference publications. For electrical engineering graduate students and researchers, it isincreasingly important to publish their research findings in core IEEE journalsand conferences. However, most top IEEE journals and conferences typically haveacceptance rate at 35% or much less, and it is also rare that a manuscriptreceives an outright acceptance. In this talk, I will introduce basic elementsof an IEEE style paper, and offer some personal tips and strategies on how toimprove the odds of acceptance. The goal of this presentation is to provide theproper guidance to the beginning graduate students so that, with some practice, they can write an IEEE style paper with high confidence. These graduatestudents can then focus more on the technical contributions of their work.
